Turm für Zwei

Historic water tower with luxury vacation apartment

The tower is located in the Nebeltal Nature Reserve. For lovers, for friends, for those who are happy and those seeking happiness—a hideaway, a nest high up among the treetops.

The Tower for Two is a place to enjoy each other’s company. A retreat. This luxurious vacation apartment, perched at treetop height, is truly something special.

Max Graf von Hahn had this tower built around 1900 as a water tower to serve Serrahn Castle, based on plans by architect Carl Wagner. The construction plans were presented in publications in 1903 as a prime example of the architecture of that era.

Today, you can stay in the tower, which spans approximately 70 square meters across four floors. Ninety-five steps lead up to the tower room at a height of 18 meters. A small but charming kitchen is at your disposal there, as is a fireplace for romantic evenings. Treat yourselves to breakfast for two on the balcony or a soak in the bathtub. You’ll want to stay longer than just one day.

Amenities: entryway, study, bathroom with bathtub, bedroom with double bed, fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, DVD, Blu-ray, CD, radio, fireplace

Breakfast for two can be delivered upon request.

The surroundings:

At the foot of the tower, next to a historic watermill, the Nebel River flows. The immediate surroundings of the tower are fairytale-like in their beauty. Extensive walks through the park of the former Serrahn Castle and on into the Nebeltal Nature Reserve offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.
Bicycles are available for rent to explore the wider area and visit recommended restaurants.
The Mecklenburg Lake District offers a wide range of options for culture and nature lovers. The Baltic Sea is also easily accessible by public transportation.
