What makes Zinzow Castle so special? A mild Baltic climate, the warmth of a family-run estate, peace and wide-open landscapes surrounded by unspoilt nature.

Walks through the Landgraben Valley reveal water buffalo, beavers, deer and storks, while nearby castles and ruins tell stories of the past. Rivers and lakes invite visitors to explore by canoe, and the Baltic coast, Hanseatic towns and seaside resorts are all within easy reach. Evenings are best enjoyed to the sound of frogs or with a tasting of fine spirits from the estate’s own distillery.

The estate’s historic stables have been carefully restored. Horses and ponies are once again kept here, and the oldest building on the property, dating from the 18th century, houses an impressive collection of historic carriages.

Surrounding the manor house is a 16-hectare landscaped park designed by Swedish garden architect Anders Svensson in the style of an English landscape garden. Winding paths, ancient trees, ponds and changing vistas create a living landscape painting and a haven of tranquillity.

Guests can choose from seven charming holiday apartments for two to six people, as well as two separate cottages. The historic ballroom at Zinzow Castle provides an elegant setting for weddings, family celebrations and events for up to 80 guests.
