The manor house of the former Pütnitz knight’s estate is ideal for nature lovers, situated in the immediate hinterland of the coast on the Recknitz River, which flows 400 meters downstream into the Ribnitz Bodden. Built in 1836, the manor house acquired its castle-like character through a renovation in 1906 and has always been affectionately called a castle. In 2011 and 2012, the von der Lühe family lovingly restored the historic, listed manor house in accordance with its original design.

To explore the Recknitz River and the natural landscape surrounding this romantic little river, the property offers its own canoes for up to 4 people. Canoeing is one of the most popular leisure activities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania—whether as a couple, a family, or with friends. The area can also be explored by bicycle.
