A castle with grounds—truly one of a kind.

The meticulously renovated castle hotel features 21 individually designed rooms, suites, and apartments.

Nestled in the enchanting natural landscape of Mecklenburg, this setting also served as the inspiration for the redesign of the premises. Each room bears a different name associated with the castle and has its own distinct character, reflected in the interior design. Kaarz Castle presents itself as a cozy, feel-good retreat. Guests are encouraged to feel at home, relax in nature, find inspiration in a book, or enjoy a sauna in the converted shepherd’s wagon. The shepherd’s wagon sauna is somewhat hidden and thus very private, located in the old orchard within the park. The rooms at Kaarz Castle are equipped with a coffee maker, tea kettle, hot water bottles—and most also feature a bathtub. Guests are treated to culinary delights in the castle restaurant and café. Here, special emphasis is placed on regional products.  The fresh milk comes from the milk station next door, the Jersey cheese is made from the milk of the Jersey cows at the neighboring farm, and the fruit is harvested from the estate’s own orchard. Here, the bees also buzz, providing the honey for breakfast. Strolling barefoot through the park or enjoying a BBQ on the terrace on a balmy summer evening—at Kaarz Castle, every moment is a delight.

Regional artists regularly display sculptures and installations in the park as part of the exhibition “Das grüne Zitat” (The Green Quote). The surrounding area invites you to go hiking, play golf at the nearby WINSTONgolf course, or go canoeing on the Warnow River. In case of bad weather, rubber boots and rain jackets are available for guests.
