Schloß Hohen Brünzow
A place for culture in the Tollensee Valley
Hohen Brünzow Castle was built in the late 19th century as a two-story manor house.
Set in its picturesque park, the late-Classical manor house—once richly decorated—must have been a true splendor in its red and gold hues. The park is home to dendrological treasures. The estate, which included five large barns and numerous outbuildings, was converted into a seed-breeding operation with livestock farming after World War II. Until the 1990s, it was one of the few fully preserved estates in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Since 2019, a new Kultur-Gut-Hohen-Brünzow has been taking shape here, offering a rich array of crafts, art, and lifestyle experiences. Several generations of cultural creators and (art) artisans work here with creative ideas and innovative concepts. Concerts, theater performances, and workshops are already taking place here.
