Herrenhaus Viecheln
Tudor-style manor house with vacation apartments
Nestled between the Trebel and Reknitz valleys in the Rostock district lies a manor house perfect for vacations, weddings, and events.
Built in 1869 by the Blohm family (Blohm & Voss), the mansion has been back in private ownership since June 2020. It was designed by the renowned architect Heinrich Thormann in the English Gothic Tudor style. Today, this historic house offers vacation rentals and serves as a residence for artists. Yoga retreats are held regularly at the house. Additionally, beauty treatments and massage appointments can be booked on-site.
The stately rooms, with their historic charm, can be rented for various celebrations. The house is surrounded by a 3-hectare estate park. The park, featuring a pond and an old castle rampart, was laid out in the style of an English landscape garden as early as 1770 and is now home to rare trees and animals. The manor house and park invite you to relax and linger. During a visit, the hosts are happy to provide a guided tour.
The entire house, including the conservatory, library, and salons, is furnished with great attention to detail and features very tasteful wall colors. Guests can stay for a relaxing vacation in the countryside or for a celebration—weddings also take place on the beautiful estate—in four single or double rooms or in vacation apartments. These rooms share a communal bathroom and a large, charming kitchen. The spacious vacation apartments are perfect for spending your vacation and enjoying a countryside getaway at its finest. Celebrating New Year’s Eve in peace with your dog is also possible in Viecheln, and the surrounding area offers many opportunities to explore nature. Water sports, golf, cycling, or horseback riding are just a few of the options available.
The large hall can accommodate 80 guests. The hosts themselves regularly host concerts and events. The spaces can also be booked for parties, weddings, seminars, team retreats, or yoga retreats.
Wedding ceremonies conducted by the Gnoien Registry Office take place in the manor house or in the park. At Viecheln Manor, you’ll find plenty of space and inspiration to create your dream wedding.
Accommodations:
Currently, Viecheln offers 4 guest rooms, 3 apartments, and 1 suite. A sauna and a shared kitchen are available in the basement. In total, the house has approximately 20 beds.
