Herrenhaus Levetzow
Vacation apartments in the Baltic hinterland
The manor house is a two-story building on a T-shaped foundation with a high fieldstone base. Its Neo-Gothic architecture has been preserved, including pointed-arch windows in the attic floors. Following a careful renovation, the building now houses two vacation apartments and event spaces.
The Levetzow Manor House, the centerpiece of the former estate of the same name, has a history spanning over 750 years. Generations of noble families, bourgeois families, and, more recently, the local community have shaped the character and pace of life here. For the past decade, Bernd Lüskow has taken over ownership and responsibility. Since spring 2023, the house has offered two vacation apartments for those seeking relaxation who value the harmony between people and nature. Guests enjoy relaxation or outdoor activities.
Located in the heart of Northwest Mecklenburg and at the same time in the immediate hinterland of the Baltic Sea, this little corner of the world is characterized by the down-to-earth nature of its people and the richness of its natural surroundings. Here, visitors can truly breathe freely as they wander through fields, meadows, and forests, linger by streams, hills, and ponds, and observe the unspoiled flora and fauna.
Time-honored Hanseatic and royal cities such as Wismar, Rostock, and Schwerin frame this landscape, which gently slopes toward the Baltic Sea. Popular Baltic Sea resorts like the island of Poel, Kühlungsborn, Rerik, or Boltenhagen are just a half-hour drive away.
Two identical vacation apartments are available. Each apartment is over 50 square meters in size, designed for two people, and features a living area with a dining nook, a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, and a modern, open kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped to meet all your needs. If you like, you can enjoy fresh breakfast eggs from free-range chickens. Pets are not allowed, and smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartments.
Visitors and vacationers can enjoy doing nothing. The house and the restored park invite you to relax.
Celebrations in a historic setting
Family celebrations can take place in the historic “Garden Hall,” which spans approximately 80 square meters and is divided by a double Gothic archway. Original features include a wooden floor from 1926, numerous wooden reliefs from the Realism era around 1870, and Gothic window niches. The "Gartensaal" offers seating for up to 60 people, a small stage platform, and electrical and data connections. Large windows and a patio door leading to the garden let in plenty of natural light. The "Gartensaal" and the function rooms are ideal for family celebrations, corporate events, lectures, chamber music, or book readings.
Next door is the “Small Hall,” approximately 50 square meters in size, featuring a kitchenette and restrooms for men and women. These rooms serve as an extension for celebrations and events in the “Garden Hall,” e.g., as a buffet area. These areas are also bright and welcoming, and some feature original wooden floorboards. Dishes, glasses, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher are available. There is no requirement to use a specific event agency or caterer. Due to the historical layout of the rooms, accessibility is not guaranteed. Upon consultation with the owner, other spaces such as the vaulted cellar or the vestibule may also be used.

Guest at ...
For decades, the owner, Bernd Lüskow, has had a special affinity for historical events, old structures, and, in particular, Gothic architecture. Consequently, he was interested in acquiring such a property with the aim of breathing new life into it. After a decade of renovating the house and park together with his partner, he now looks forward to welcoming vacationers and guests who find the blend of relaxation and activity, comfort and the “old,” natural beauty and Hanseatic city life exciting. Conversations by the fire are also welcome.
