Vacation apartments, naturopathic practice and culinary delights

A carefully restored, very old half-timbered manor house with a nostalgic charm.

The Baroque manor house was built around 1700 using half-timbered construction and was extensively restored in 2012–2013. Particular emphasis was placed on faithfully restoring the nostalgic atmosphere without sacrificing modern comforts. This is reflected in the furnishings of the cozy rooms, which exude the charm of a manor house and evoke a bygone era, as if the lady of the manor had just stepped out of the room. For all lovers of the past, the house offers numerous treasures to discover and enjoy in a contemplative setting.
In addition, the manor house houses a naturopathic practice run by the owner, specializing in acupuncture for all acute and chronic conditions, including wellness treatments during a vacation stay. On select days, culinary events such as tapas variations are offered in the espresso bar of the Alte Stellmacherei, and banquet dinners are held in the manor house’s ballroom.

The restoration project was awarded first place in the Federal Prize for Craftsmanship in Monument Preservation, presented by Minister President Erwin Sellering in the Golden Hall of the Neustädtisches Palais in Schwerin on November 26, 2014. In the following years, the ballroom was completed in 2014, the wheelwright’s workshop in 2016, and the servants’ quarters in 2019, all using the same trades.
The complex features three spacious vacation apartments for a total of 12 people (6 double beds), which can also be used together by a family or a group of friends and are connected by doors on the upper floor.

The Flamen Apartment is primarily situated on the rondel side and features a cozy kitchen-living room for up to 4 people and a luxurious vintage-style bathroom with a freestanding cast-iron bathtub overlooking the estate park and a bidet. Adjacent to this is the classic living room with a sun-drenched south-facing window and a French double bed. The bedroom, featuring a large double bed, is accessible both from the living room and directly from the upper hallway. The apartment is also suitable for taller guests (extra-long beds at 220 cm, extra-high shower, toilet, and sink, as well as a kitchenette).

The Friesen apartment faces the park and features a large, light-filled combined living-dining room that invites up to 4 people to socialize within its open half-timbered walls. In the side areas, there is a large reading chair and a French double bed. Adjacent to the kitchen and bathroom is a spacious bedroom with two beds, situated on the side facing the gazebo with an unobstructed view into the small village, where you are greeted by the rising sun from the east.

The servants’ quarters are located in the annex to the left of the manor house and have a separate entrance with its own staircase, which is historically very steep. All rooms have windows facing the park, and in the kitchen, the morning sun can be enjoyed from the window-sill counter. The bedroom is furnished with a cozy double bed and a reading chair. In the sunny living room with three windows, there is a table with four chairs and another French double bed. Both the kitchen and the bathroom have separate entrances from both rooms. The accommodations are suitable for up to 4 people.

The English estate park is available to guests for rest and relaxation, and the naturopathic practice allows for a combination of vacation and wellness. For smaller events of all kinds, the ballroom can be used by arrangement; it features seating for 22 at a table beneath the chandelier and hosts select culinary and artistic events in a special stately ambiance. The historic wheelwright’s workshop houses the espresso bar, which is open on specific dates during the season by advance reservation and offers not only delicious coffee but also homemade dishes, fine wine, and selected spirits. The espresso bar can be booked for private parties and celebrations for groups of 6 or more, with a menu ranging from cakes to tapas. In these special settings, the hosts create a convivial atmosphere and cozy moments for connoisseurs.

In addition to a relaxing escape from everyday life with heavenly tranquility for rejuvenation, the surrounding area is ideal for hiking—even with your dog—or exploring by bike, for example on the Smugglers’ Trail or the “Old Country Roads,” where you’ll also find other charming manor houses and castles in the region. The Café-Scheune in Wredenhagen, with cultural events on weekends, or the crystal-clear swimming lake in Glambeck are just as quickly accessible by car as the numerous shopping opportunities in Wittstock and Röbel or select restaurants in the area.

Accommodations: 3 vacation apartments.
Spacious vacation apartments furnished in a historic style, featuring a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and a vintage-style bathroom with a freestanding cast-iron bathtub and a view of the park.

Guest at ...

Sylke and Wolfram Klemm from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, formerly of Berlin and Baden
. In November 2010, we discovered a wonderful manor house. In the main hall, we were overcome by a comforting sense of familiarity that led us to make an impulse purchase. In our minds’ eye, every room was already designed and assigned its purpose—a vision we brought to life over the next few years. We gradually cut our ties to Berlin and shifted the center of our lives to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. We haven’t regretted this decision for a single day.
Join us today to enjoy the beautiful surroundings on a forest walk with your dog or a few refreshing laps in the Glambeck early in the morning. Relax with a good book in one of our spacious vacation apartments, meticulously and historically renovated. During your stay, treat yourself to a holistic acupuncture treatment at our naturopathic practice.
Sign up for a special tapas evening at our espresso bar or book a 5-course dinner in one of the four seasons in our banquet hall—you won’t be disappointed by the hostess’s culinary skills. Rent the entire upper floor for your small family celebration or a private event and let us treat you to an unforgettable evening of fine dining. Come to our concerts, which we host from time to time.
We look forward to seeing you!
