Space for ideas… that is the motto of this spacious estate with French flair.
The manor house in the Mecklenburg Lake District has been the heart of the village in its current form since around 1750. Life here took place entirely under one roof, which is why the house has always been divided into living areas, social spaces, and workrooms. This layout was preserved during the renovation. A German-French couple from Berlin has made the manor house significantly cozier and more modern than it was 250 years ago and renovated it with energy efficiency in mind,  e.g., using clay plaster.

The house is divided into two areas: the living area, which features four apartments of varying sizes that can be booked individually or together. The smallest apartment can accommodate up to 2 people, while the largest can accommodate up to 8 people.

In addition, there are the historic common rooms on the ground floor, which can be booked for work or for events for small and medium-sized teams.

The common rooms are particularly impressive. They all flow into one another through large double doors: the entrance hall, garden hall, gentlemen’s room, library, and dining room, as well as the large manor house kitchen, offer something that is rarely found anymore. Inspiration for this came from the salon culture of the 18th and 19th centuries, in which private rooms, as centers of intellectual and cultural activities, shaped the social landscape.

Gut Zahren offers an authentic setting for working, reflecting, gathering, living, making music, sitting by the fireplace, discussing, playing, and cooking and dining together. In short: a place where ideas are born.
