Gut Rosengarten
Holiday homes, garden café and garden market
Iseland of Rügen: Vacation rentals on the grounds of the Rosengarten Estate. The estate features an organic garden, a tree nursery, and a café.
The former “Rosengharde” estate, with its historic park, belonged to Eldena Abbey in the 14th century; it later came under Swedish rule, and in 1815 the von Rosen family acquired the estate, followed shortly thereafter by the von Langen family. A mineral water spring was discovered in 1903.
The vegan café “Bohnentanke” treats guests to fine coffee and homemade treats—a delight for anyone who loves plant-based delicacies from the region. The Rügen tree nursery on the grounds offers a wide selection of trees, shrubs, and perennials, and the local Krummstiel organic garden center provides fresh, seasonal vegetables of organic quality.
The most beautiful weeks of the year can be spent on the edge of the biosphere reserve in the southeastern part of the island of Rügen—combined with authentic country life. Guests can stroll through the historic landscape park of Gut Rosengarten and enjoy coffee, cake, other treats, and fresh vegetables at the courtyard café. The water from the estate’s own Hertha Spring, which flows directly from the faucet in the vacation apartments, provides a special refreshment.
The Hertha Spring, discovered in 1903, is located about 1,000 meters from Gut Rosengarten. Right next to the spring, old, existing buildings have been transformed into a small vacation village. Here, soothing tranquility, fresh air, and authentic, sustainable country life combine with the utmost comfort and all the amenities of the ecologically managed estate
