At Gut Pohnstorf, you’ll find charming and unique vacation apartments in gorgeous color schemes, lounges, a communal kitchen, space for co-working, rooms for parties or yoga retreats, bicycles and e-bikes for rent, and a charging station for electric cars.

The manor house was built in the 19th century and has stood proudly over the estate ever since, around whose walls a small village has grown. The house is situated halfway up the Hardtberg and offers a view of the vast expanse and grandeur of the Mecklenburg landscape. Sitting on the low wall of the open staircase, you can enjoy the view of the setting sun on summer evenings.
A countryside getaway for the whole family, as well as (open) space for celebrations
. Over the past ten years, the manor house has been restored in a way that preserves its original grandeur. Eight apartments and two hotel rooms, accommodating a total of 35 people, are available to guests. For celebrations, the manor house is usually rented out in its entirety. The focal point is then the common areas on the “bel étage” with access to the garden. The old parquet floor in the great hall is perfect for dancing.
The rooms are all spacious, and the house is child-friendly. The vacation apartments are fully equipped. Each apartment is well-suited for cooking and dining together. In winter, it’s cozy by the fireplace; in summer, it’s perfect for barbecuing in the garden. Guests can also enjoy an activity area with volleyball, a slackline, and table tennis.
For groups of six or more, dinner catering can be booked. There are numerous restaurants in the surrounding area. Breakfast is served in the Blue Salon, though you’re welcome to take your plate back to your vacation apartment.
Those who love a break in nature can take a walk into the forest right behind the house or take a dip in the small swimming lake. With a rented or personal bicycle, you can explore beautiful routes through Mecklenburg Switzerland, such as through the forest to Lake Kummerow or across the fields and hills for cycling or hiking. Those who prefer longer bike rides or would appreciate a little help on the hills can rent one of the high-quality e-bikes. Bike bags and child trailers are available.
Behind the house is the manor’s park, where every guest will find as much space as they need. There is a bocce court and grills for free use. For electric vehicle owners, four charging stations with up to 22 kW charging capacity are available.
It is only 10 km from the train station in Teterow to Gut Pohnstorf. We are happy to arrange a shuttle or taxi.
