Spantekow was founded in the 16th century by Ulrich von Schwerin and his wife Anna von Arnim. Since 1999, the complex has undergone extensive renovations in several phases. The foundations of the original 13th-century ring castle are a major attraction today.

The entire complex, with a usable area of 2,513 square meters, offers unique conditions for establishing a conference, business, or cultural center with vacation apartments or for tourist use featuring attractive dining options, and is seeking a financially sound investor or operator with a long-term lease agreement. Donations or membership in the Friends Association are welcome.
