Divitz Water Castle, designated a cultural asset of national significance, was long regarded as a “Sleeping Beauty” castle. As early as the 14th century, it was one of the most important fortifications in the border region between Pomerania and Mecklenburg and is surrounded by a landscape park covering approximately 12 hectares.

Starting with the medieval defensive tower, a stately gabled house was built during the Renaissance, later expanded with a Baroque wing and a 19th-century addition. The complex holds outstanding significance in terms of regional, cultural, and architectural history and requires comprehensive measures for its preservation, restoration, and future use. The Förderverein Kulturgüter Wasserburg Divitz e.V. (Friends of Divitz Water Castle Cultural Heritage) is responsible for its preservation and future uses.

The house is currently being secured, and renovation work is in the planning stages. For the Midsummer Remise, there will be engaging guided tours of the park offering a glimpse into a section of the house open to the public: the tower kitchen building. Food and drinks will be available on a donation basis.
