Schloss Gültz

Seenplatte

The late-Classical manor house was built between 1868 and 1872 according to plans by Georg Daniel, chief architect of Mecklenburg, for Helmuth Freiherr von Maltzahn. Gültz had been owned by the Pomeranian branch of the von Maltzahn family since the 15th century. The castle is set within a sprawling landscape park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné in 1840, featuring mature trees, ponds, and an oval formed by twelve small-leaved lime trees.

The heart of the house is the Hall of Mirrors—156 m² in size, 6.80 m high, with excellent acoustics and room for up to 120 guests.Schloss Gültz sees itself as a cultural hub in the rural area and regularly opens its doors for musical evenings, literary readings, and art projects.

For the MittsommerRemise on June 20 and 21, 2026, Schloss Gültz invites visitors to guided tours of the house and park and conversations with the lord of the manor. Tickets for all participating manor houses in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are available on site.
