Landhaus Schloss Kölzow

Vorpommern-Rügen

A haven of peace and relaxation east of Rostock, featuring a large castle park. In 1925, Prince Friedrich Sigismund of Prussia acquired the Kölzow estate as a summer residence and to pursue his passion for horseback riding. It remained in his possession until 1945. The current host, Augustin von der Lühe, took over management of the estate from his parents, who found a “new” home here in Kölzow in 1997 within their “old” homeland. After World War II, the house served as housing for refugees and housed a cooperative store, a kindergarten, and the community hall. In 2024, the castle opened as a guesthouse and venue for weddings, celebrations, and seminars. The concert on Friday evening featuring the Tricordanza ensemble requires an additional admission fee.
