Kiduliud bravoras

Once this manor belonged to the treasurer of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Jeronimas Krišpinas Kiršteinas. Later here resided even three Samogitian bishops of one after another, and in 1807, while preparing for signing of a capitulation treaty with French Emperor Napoleon, here stayed the King of Prussia himself, Wilhelm III.
The brewery was built in 1884. It was fully operational until the WWI and then was reopened in the interwar period. Now days it is a liveable house with lots of not so charming occupants. But we have come to realise that is the part of the charm- walking through a small dirt road through the valley  and village cats and dogs greet you. One or two village drunks scarcely scatter and you go in an ordinary looking Prussian house that is just still intact but slowly crumbling. Then you pass huge wooden doors and you are almost in a church under the mountain. A church built solely for fermenting beer.
We are a young family that purchased a couple of apartments and we are trying to save this exceptional factory building for future generations. And we have a hobby- to produce award winning cider.
We have just cleaned up the bigger rubbish, but we would love to welcome you inside of this heritage site even for a small period of time because it has never been open to the public yet.
