Halsted Abbey lies in the idyllic village of Halsted, just a few kilometres from Nakskov. Here Vldemar Atterdag founded a medieval Benedictine abbey in the 1300 s that was acctive until the Reformation in 1536, when it was taken over by the Crown.

Festival Programme

Guided tour of Queen Sophie's house at Halsted Monastery, which has undergone extensive restoration. Among other things, you can experience stories about the house's history and unique interior with decorations from early classicism from the late 18th century.

The manor itself will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, with the exception of the main building, which is privately owned.

The visit is not suitable for wheelchair users as access to the building is via stairs.
