Triwalk Manor – A Construction Site, a Canvas, and a Place of the Future

We are Jonas and Elisa, along with our baby M. Professionally, we’ve taken very different paths, but we both “grew up on a construction site.” With the Triwalk Manor House, we’re now fulfilling a long-cherished dream of owning our own manor house—through a lot of our own hard work, respect for history, and a clear vision for the future.

The Triwalk Manor House was built around 1800 and is nestled on about one hectare of land with a small forest. The property also includes an old thatched-roof barn and a small vacation home. We acquired the property in September 2025. We are not yet living in the manor house, but are primarily working on the careful renovation ourselves—with a focus on natural building materials and the preservation of the historic structure.

Over the past few months, we have addressed many signs of wear and tear, removed or dismantled architectural eyesores, and begun to restore the ecological balance in the forest. And we are still just getting started: the park-like garden is to be redesigned, vacation apartments are being built, and in the long term, the estate will also support animal welfare projects and initiatives.

Currently, the manor house is still largely in the shell construction phase. Visible are the adobe walls, round arches, half-timbering, and old beams—an honest, open structure that reveals the character of the house. We would like to make this special “canvas” available to local artists for the MittsommerRemise: for photography, crafts, and installations. Even the beams, which are over 300 years old and had to be removed from the house, will reappear and live on in a new form.

Of course, refreshments will be provided: in addition to cake and small snacks, there will be refreshments throughout the event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sternberg Animal Welfare Association.

We cordially invite you to take a look at our manor house, our construction site, and our plans—and to experience this special place in its current state.
