Gutshaus Scharpzow
Seenplatte
The Scharpzow estate was rebuilt in 1896 after a fire destroyed the original Baroque manor house. The manor house was designed by Georg Daniel, while the numerous outbuildings, including the farmhouse cottages of the estate village, were designed by Friedrich Pries. Of the outbuildings, the poultry house, the farm manager's house, the old smithy, and many of the farmhouse cottages still stand today, although the latter have undergone structural alterations over the decades. In 2019, the Hollensteiner family acquired the manor house and the poultry house, situated in a 3.5-hectare park with a small pond and mature trees, and carefully restored them. The entire complex is now for sale.
In the manor house, visitors can view the first renovated guest suite and the ongoing development of the main floor (piano nobile). A particularly noteworthy project is the reconstruction of the papier-mâché stucco based on original findings and historical models.
Dogs are only permitted in the park.
