The Groß Görnow manor house was fortunate enough to have a building researcher take an interest in it. Sebastian Oldenburg, a master’s student in “Digital Heritage Technologies” at Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg, spent six months researching the house. At this year’s MittsommerRemise, we’ll share with you the numerous historical finds, new insights into the construction phases, and hidden clues left by the craftsmen. Or the back-loading stove....

On both days, we’ll guide you through the house and share the results of our research. You’ll also have the chance to speak with Sebastian Oldenburg and learn more about the work of a building researcher.

And as usual, we’ll be serving homemade cakes. Or, especially on a nice day, would you prefer an iced coffee on our veranda?

For the Midsummer Remise, we’ll have regional delicacies from the estate’s own production: vinegar, mustard, salts, fruit spreads, and brand new: apple juice, made exclusively from Boskop apples.
