Gutshaus Eickelberg

Rostock

The path to the house leads along the 2019 Avenue—a fully restored cobblestone street lined with gnarled chestnut and oak trees.
The manor house was built in several phases by the von Lützow family and served as their family seat. How many remnants of GDR history remain in the house? Are there still visible traces of the kindergarten, the Konsum store, or the youth work camp? Or have any photos been preserved? In 1996, the film “The Secret of Cormorant Island” was shot here. Eickelberg is a historic and mysterious place in the Warnow Gorge.
