Dubkevitz was owned by the von der Osten family from the late 15th century to the mid-19th century. The current house was built on the site of a previous structure in 1777. Extensive renovations in the Wilhelminian style were carried out in the early 1870s, and an extension was added in 1913 by the von der Ostens’ successors, the von Berg family. After their expropriation in 1945, refugees from Pomerania lived in the house. In 2003, the house was reprivatized; since 2010, it has been owned by Catrione Garrett, who, together with her husband Joachim Ernst v. Marschall, has completely renovated the dilapidated building and restored it to its Baroque form. The house is situated in a park and garden area of approximately 3 hectares. The estate also includes a transformer house dating from the early days of Rügen’s electrification beginning in 1912 (a technical monument).
