The manor house on Lake Penzlin is situated directly above the lake, surrounded by a large park with mature trees. The former estate grounds are still recognizable. The current manor house was built in the mid-18th century by the von Lützow family on the site of an earlier structure. Ownership changed hands over the centuries until 1945. It was then used as the village center, housing apartments, an agricultural cooperative kitchen, a kindergarten, a medical clinic, a consumer store, and a cultural hall. A restoration in accordance with historic preservation standards, involving a return to the original floor plan while preserving and supplementing all original period features such as doors, plank floors, tiles, and window casings, was completed in 2018.
