The former "Rosengharde" estate, with its historic park, belonged to Eldena Abbey in the 14th century; it later came under Swedish rule, and in 1815 the von Rosen family acquired the estate, followed shortly thereafter by the von Langen family.

A mineral water spring was discovered in 1903. We invite you to the Midsummer Open House on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Learn more about the history of the estate, the historic design of the estate park, and the unique flora, and spend a wonderful day at Rosengarten Estate.

The vegan café “Bohnentanke” will treat you to fine coffee and homemade treats—a delight for anyone who loves plant-based delicacies from the region. Starting at 12:30 p.m., musical accompaniment in the park will create a summery atmosphere.

The Rügen tree nursery located on the grounds offers a wide selection of trees, shrubs, and perennials for your garden. The team is on hand to answer questions—and might even share a gardening secret or two. Under guidance, flower lovers of all ages can design their own floral wreaths—creative, summery, and beautiful. The adjacent Krummstiel organic garden center opens the doors to its greenhouse and offers fresh, seasonal organic vegetables for sale—straight from the field to your table.
