Gut Langwitz
Seenplatte
Nestled in the heart of Mecklenburg Switzerland, amidst a diverse landscape of open fields and endless views, lies the tranquil village of Langwitz. The centrally located manor house, as it stands today, was built around 1850 and has played a significant role in shaping both the village’s appearance and community life for many years. The first mentions of the estate date back some 600 years. The von Hahn noble family, still based in Mecklenburg today, was enfeoffed with the estate and managed it for over 500 years. During the GDR era, the manor house was a place of many faces and a vibrant part of the village, serving as everything from a restaurant and grocery store to a doctor’s office, dance hall, and movie theater.
After years of standing vacant, Carolin and Sebastian Paschen have been gradually renovating the manor house since 2021 and, in particular, revitalizing it culturally as a versatile place for living, working, and experiencing life.
