Dworek w Krępkowicach

Krępkowice is a long-established village. It was first mentioned in 1283, when Duke Mściwój II granted the village to a wealthy Gdańsk resident. It subsequently changed hands, with the Teutonic Knights' commander himself having a hand in its history, and the estate having countless owners.

The manor house in Krępkowice was built in 1923 as a Jagdschloss, or hunting lodge, for the Prussian Count Rüdiger von Osten. It is an unusual example of traditional half-timbered architecture, clad entirely in clay, straw, and wood, with a thatched roof. In the post-war years, the manor house, inhabited by forestry workers and their families, fell into disrepair in the 1990s. Numerous renovations ensured the preservation of its original structure and character, faithful to its original appearance, while modernization has enriched it with 21st-century amenities. Currently, the Manor is privately owned and operates year-round as a tourist and workshop space where visitors from all over the world experience the magic of the place and the surrounding community and nature.
