Spantekow Castle is a historic monument of national significance near Anklam and one of the oldest Renaissance moated castles in northern Germany. Spantekow was founded in the 16th century by Ulrich von Schwerin and his wife Anna von Arnim. Since 1999, the complex has undergone extensive renovation in phases. The foundations of the original 13th-century ring castle are a major attraction today.

The entire complex, with a usable area of 2,513 square meters, offers unique conditions for establishing a conference, business, or cultural center with vacation apartments or for tourist use featuring attractive dining options, and is seeking a financially sound investor or operator with a long-term lease agreement.

The current owners, the von Harnier family, will open the gates to visitors for the Midsummer Festival on June 20 and 21. The family and the Förderverein Denkmal- und Naturschutz e.V. will be on site to answer questions and discuss opportunities. With a colorful market (arts and crafts) in the castle courtyard, a castle café, live music on Sunday, a birds-of-prey flight show, and vintage car rides, there is plenty to enjoy at Spantekow Castle on Saturday and Sunday.
